The double Happiness ceramic design combines two Chinese characters to represent, joy, marriage and luck. Originally intended as gifts (on ginger jars and temple jars) for newlyweds the design has become a popular decorative accent around the world.
Here it is presented on a grenade - not as commentary on how a marriage might pan out - but as an observation on how 'military chic' fashion appropriates military design cues (pattern, epaulettes, braid, insignia etc) into fashion garments. Our design goes the other way.
