'Cnut 1016' sees a reframing of the famous encounter with the tide into the emergence of an early shore defences company. King Cnut only got wet feet but it looks like we're all in for a bigger soaking in the decades to come.
In actual fact, the whole episode was for King Cnut to humiliate his sycophantic courtiers, who were a useless bunch of 'Yes Men', and were more interested in furthering their own careers than actually imparting good honest advice.
